CHANGED to 26 July 2008 - Saturday down time. To accomplish work on the computing infrastructure, all Engineering computer accounts will be unavailable on Saturday, 26 July, beginning at 8am. The scheduled outage extends until 8pm, though if the work is completed before 7pm, CSS will send email announcing that users can login and work.
If you have access to a computer that is not managed by CSS (a computer at home, for example), you can read and send email (though possibly not attachments) during this time. To read email, use Webmail or any other email client that does not need access to your home directory.14 July 2008 - Firefox 3 installed. You may need to set Firefox as the default browser, accept a new certificate, update add-ons and themes, and reset shortcut icons. Talk to the consultant, 335-5055, 1253 SC, for help with these tasks.
