Windows Wireless Client
Right click on the wireless computer in the right-hand side of the screen and click View Available Wireless Networks, as shown.
In the Wireless network properties window on the Association tab, the Network name (SSID) should be engr-wireless, the Network Authentication WPA, and the Data encryption TKIP, as shown.
Select the Authentication tab. Check the Enable IEEE 802.1x authentication for this network box. Select Protected EAP (PEAP) in the EAP type drop-down box, as shown. Click the Properties button.
On the Protected EAP Properties window check the box next to Validate server certificate. Select Thawte Server CA from the Trusted Root Certificate Authorities list. Select Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2) in the Select Authentication Method list. Then click the Configure button.

In the EAP MSCHAP v2 Properties window that opens, remove the check from the Automatically use my Windows login name... box.
Click OK until you are back to the Wireless Network Connection window. The button in the bottom right hand corner of the window will either say Disconnect or Connect. If it says Disconnect, you are already connected to the network. If it says Connect, click the button to connect to the network.
A notification will appear in the bottom right hand corner of your screen saying that you need to select a certificate or input credentials. Click within the notification window.
Enter your Engineering User name and Password. You do not need to fill in the Logon domain. If you want to use your Hawk ID, then enter IOWA\HawkID in the User name field and then enter your Hawk ID Password. You do not need to fill in the Logon domain. When you see the window shown below ("Wireless Network Connection is now connected"), you are connected to the Engineering wireless network.
