CALL FOR PAPERS

 

1999 Dynamics, Acoustics & Simulations Symposium

 

In conjunction with the

Fourth Asia-Pacific Conference on Computational Mechanics (APCOM)

DECEMBER 15-17, 1999, SINGAPORE

 

The goal of this symposium is to convene researchers in dynamics, acoustics and simulations to exchange ideas and technologies in these rapidly evolving fields.

The organizers welcome submissions of papers in all areas pertaining to theoretical, symbolic, computational and experimental aspects of dynamics, acoustics and simulations. All papers will be peer-reviewed and accepted papers may be submitted for publication in an ASME Transaction Journal. Topics of interest include but not limited to

 

  1. System Dynamics and Acoustics
     (e.g., solids, fluids, biosystems, other complex systems)
  2. Flow-Induced and Thermal-Induced Structural Vibrations
     (e.g., aerodynamics of rotating disks, dynamics of air bearing, suspension)
  3. Nonlinear Dynamics and Random Vibration
     (e.g., impact and friction, one DOF and multi-DOF systems)
  4. Stability, Bifurcations, Chaos, Solitons and Fractals
     (e.g., analytical approaches, numerical simulations, chaos identifications)
  5. Computational Methods in Dynamics & Acoustics
     (e.g., fuzzy logic FEM, symplectic schemes, neural networks, wavelets)
  6. Simulation and Animation
     (e.g., internet, on-line, off-line, real-time)
